It’s amazing how quickly times goes by now that I’m an adult and have responsibilities. As a kid the hours seemed long and the days endless. I hadn’t realized just how long it’s been since my last blog post! October seems so far away now.
Here’s what I’ve been up to:
A group of coworkers and myself did the local breast cancer 5k run in October. My first 5k and I loved it, though I didn’t ‘run’. I want to do another! Ours goes through one of the downtown neighborhoods and along the route people had decorations and words of encouragement on their houses. This was my favorite.
My walking partner and I chatted with this couple a few times during the 5k. When I read her dedication I choked up. Then when I noticed his…full on tears.
These ladies were having the best time at one of the intersections. They had music set up and were dancing to “Happy”. The joy on their faces made my day.
The first week of November one of the local towns did a “Christmas from years past” type event in their downtown area. It’s one of those places that makes you feel like you have gone back in time and I love going. We checked out some antique shops where the stores were just as beautiful as the merchandise.
Our city Veteran’s Day parade goes right by my office so I always run outside and watch. Snapping pictures of attendees as well as those in the parade.
It always makes my heart so happy to see the support.
We put our Christmas trees (yes, plural) up before Thanksgiving (I know. I know). We don’t usually put them up before Turkey Day but we were really in the mood for it this year. The house is now Christmas-fied. I am not joking or being silly when I say if it stands still, it has some sort of Christmas decoration on it. I’ll snap pics soon.
I have a couple of posts I want to make soon. Y’all make me accountable!
